Someone must have found the Pokéflute because we finally have a Pokémon Sleep release date. The Pokémon Company first announced the project back in 2019, and rumours have been circulating that this year it would finally arrive. Pokémon Sleep is a new app designed to help you track your sleep cycles by catching Pokémon and researching their sleep behaviours.
The ‘gameplay’ is simple enough – just input the time you go to sleep, and the time you wake up, and the app does the rest. Pokémon Sleep is set on a small island that inhabits a Snorlax and a Pokémon professor named Professor Neroli. As you track your sleep using the app, it categorises your rest cycles into dozing, snoozing, or slumbering. Pokémon with the same sleep styles as you then come and join Snorlax on the island.
Recording your rest with Pokémon Sleep is even easier with the new Pokémon Go Plus + accessory, which you can use to track your bedtime and when you wake up, as well as using it to catch Pokémon and spin Pokéstops in Pokémon Go. There are plans to incorporate your sleep data into Pokémon Go as well.
