Splatoon 3 is coming any day now, and the official Twitter account is sharing countless details about the new game. One of the more notable ones is the addition of fashion features to the SplatNet app, letting you edit set outfits, known as Fashionable Fits, and then share them with your friends.
The Splatoon 3 app seems to be changing the precedent of app tie-ins for Nintendo titles, which have previously been a tad useless for all but the most dedicated fans. While the previous iteration of the SplatNet app was cool to check out your stats, it didn’t really have much actual functionality.
SplatNet 3 adds these new fashion features, alongside the ability to see your rank history, support Crusty Sean’s Wandercrust Tour, and more. Weirdly enough, the Splatoon 3 app isn’t a standalone app, but an app within the Nintendo Switch Online app, which is famously a bit useless. Hopefully, this is a sign of change.
